The writing prompt from my daughter has officially developed into my next project. The book, tentatively titled The Beasts We Become is proving fun to write and relatively painless to squeeze out of my reluctant brain. I read the first chapter to the work’s inspiration and I’m happy to say it has been well received.
I think I can safely say that this is the most prep I have ever done before starting to write, and it is definitely paying off. There is little polish or craft to the words right now, but I am moving quickly through the mapped plot points and learning a lot about my characters. I am definitely working off the “get the story out” philosophy on this one, and here’s to hoping it pays off.
