It occurs to me that the date on this post could become embarrassing if no one bites on this book, but for now I’ll stick to my committment to transparency (and set a reminder to delete this if/when it gets sad).
This weekend I got five queries out the door to agents I thought would be a good fit for the book, and I plan to let those sit out there for a few days while I do research for the next batch.
The process is challenging. Every agent has a slightly different format they prefer, and I am still building some of the pieces that are commonly requested. Given the number of queries that agents must receive I can understand erecting some hurdles to weed out the uncommitted, but still… it is a slog.
I don’t plan on getting to deeply into this process here, but I’ll update any significant milestones or surprising insights.
