The Beasts We Become

On a farm dedicated to rescuing injured and unwanted animals, two girls discover a creature that should not exist. They soon learn that this impossible animal is not the only oddity in the woods that surround their remote corner of the world, and they quickly find that the small, furry foundling is much more than she seems at first. Before they understand what is happening they find themselves in a secret world of strange hybrids and sinister motives where the monsters prove to be both friend and foe. Their friendship and their lives are at stake as they are drawn into a plot to unseat the architect of the atrocities at the mystery’s center.
